Perfect reception all around Norman and the Metro area, and some reception pretty much anywhere in OK.

Our reception here is VERY poor! I also need to find the "right spot in the house or outside." Probably because the nearest towers appear to be at least 2 miles away in any direction.

Frequently only have one bar, lucky to get three. Calls are garbled and staticky and are dropped every couple of minutes. Cannot dial out at times. No point in even having a cell phone in this area.

Zero to one bar -- occationally two. Conversations frequently cut off -- People often cannot reach me. Reception is horrible most of the time but can vary greatly within a 20 yard radius (especially on a hilltop). Indoor reception is unpredictable -- I get a lot of voice messages but the phone never rings and then I often have to drive down the road a few miles to understand what has been recorded.

As far as bars go, I almost always have full bars. That being said, I can almost never make a call. Have to call people back 4-5 times to complete a 5 minute phone call. Sprint is blaming the phone rather than their service, but my wife and one of our employees has the exact same problem. Could potentially be the Evo4G (we all have the same phone), but I've had it with Sprint. Horrible service, horrible customer service. Breaking our contract and looking for another provider. Oh... and this has been over two years of service, not just a snap judgement.

After being continually overcharged and dealing with rude and difficult CSRs, I dropped out of my AT&T contract early to switch to Verizon. Unfortunately, I've had nothing but problems since signing the contract, and I am currently searching for a new provider. For the past 4 months, I have had calls simply not go through to my phone, text messages went unreceived (on my end and by people I sent them to). Half a dozen calls to tech support and 2 new phones later, the problem remains unresolved. I don't know what the other people who said they love Verizon are talking about--the service is poor, the local sales reps are unhelpful, and the whole experience has been excruciatingly frustrating. Would strongly recommend against switching to Verizon.

Dropped call city with my HTC Evo 4G and when you contact tech support they blame the phone not the coverage. My Blackberry did not fair any better so I have determined those comments are not true. Beware Sprint in Norman / OKC location.

Phone coverage for talking is fine. Almost never drop a call on this phone, but the data speeds are horrendous. 4G, which has been promised for quite some time, is nearly non-existent, and when you do pick it up, the speed is very slow. A friend recently switched from Sprint to Verizon, and he picks up 4G everywhere, and speed tests show him getting 19 Mb download speeds and 6 Mb upload speeds (yes, you read that correctly) consistently. I've seen it with my own eyes. My speed tests, even when I have 4G connection is around 1.1 Mb download, and.41 Mb upload. Sprint is pitiful.
