We started using our cell phones for our primary phones now that we are empty nesters. Big mistake when you have Cingular / AT&T. I sometimes don't get any tower marks at all on my phone. I can guarantee that I will get a dropped call when I'm talking... and that's only when I can get through. I have contacted Cingular regarding getting a tower put out here in eastern Moore, but no answer. Now I'm thinking about dropping them! Don't go with Cingular if you are thinking of getting a cell phone.
Reception Sucks! I have used Motorla and Sony-Ericson and have trouble with droped calls, not getting voice mails and signal break-up constantly. Verizon seems to have much better reception.
Must step outside the building or go to a window to get any reception at all. We're talking 0 bars in the building: can't make or receive calls or send or receive text messages.
We've been with Cingular for about 10 years and I have bragged about having very few dropped calls... until the last year when we've had more dropped calls and the poorest reception we've ever had with Cingular. I don't know what's up but I'm losing patience. It's not just one area either. I have problems at work and home and several places in between. Used to be able to go into any building and have reception but not any more. Seriously considering T-Mobile.
I love US Cellular, I can go anywhere and get really good reception. In the rural areas of Oklahoma, no one can get service. For some reason, I do get a full signal with my US Cellular phone. They have a really great network!
