Generally decent (2-3 bars, no drops) reception in either floor of our home, but varies in general ares. Driving up Davis toward Murray, is a crapshoot - drops sometimes, not others. In our daughter's home near Chehalem School, it is spotty reception. Overall, it does what we need.

This phone can lose a signal if sitting in the same location. In my home office (split level) when I'm in my basement corner office I only get reception about 50% of the time. When I do get reception it's low quality. There is a dead spot on Wilson Ave. No reception inside concrete buildings, Lloyd Center lower level and mid level.

Verizon has a big dead spot here in the lower sexton mountain neighborhood. Calls drop every five minutes or so, even outside of the house. They have been very helpful and acknowledged the issue of weak coverage in the area and will be letting me out of my contract due to it.

Since I had to switch from AT&T to Cingular, all my calls drop while inside my house. I have had Cingular send me new phone after new phone and I still have 100% of my calls drop. Cingular not helpful at all in rectifying this problem. Spent hours on the phone with them and recorded all conversations. Reps seem to have no training and just "wing it". Will try other company when my contract is up.

We are a family of 4 phones, all different (Samsung, LG, Motorolla, and Nokia) and frankly, Cingular just blows. I find anywhere I go around the cooper mountain area means 1-3 bars, and dropped calls all the time. I'm looking at switching to Verizon or T-Mobile in hopes that it will help.

In my house I get no reception at all. I have to walk to the end of the block to get reception. If it was not a company phone I'd chuck it.

I have a steady 3 of 5 bars. Never get dropped and have great reception whether local or long distance.

No reception from home. If I do get through I turn my head and service is gone. Lose reception all the time from cell to cell or cell to home when in the Walker Rd and 158th area and many locations in Beaverton. Not sure if it is the service is overloaded and generally poor or crummy phones. They worked fine the 1st 6 months but incredibly ridiculous service the last 6 months.

I just switched from Nextel to Cingular because I really like the Treo 650. Unfortunately, the reception is horrible. I never dropped calls with Nextel but I do so every day with Cingular. Apparently PDX is supposed to get 100 new towers over the next 2 years but I don't know if I can wait that long. AHHH!
