US cellular by far has the best coverage in SW Oregon. Works well in the mountains and all over the state. The only dead spot on I-5 is from Elkton to Canyonville. Grants Pass to Cave Junction is great. Verizon drops out between Wilderville and to the top of Hayes Hill.

I have alway had good reception. However Cingular canceled my phone because they don't have any towers in our area, they said. Dont get a phone if you live anywhere in southern oregon. Medford is the only place you get coverage. I am really unsatisfied with them.

We have had our phone for two years. The first year and half we got no reception unless we drove into town which is 5 miles away. As of now, we get reception in the house with only 1 or 2 bars. We don't know why, but are very happy with US Cellular.
