Company phone is Verizon. It works here OK but sound quality sucks (Samsung). My SonyEricsson 518 is the cheapest (free) phone I could get at the time. The quality (sound) is much better than any of the Verizon phones I had used. Sprint will not work, T-Mobile works some but not dependably. All the other companies use the major company towers and services. I do not use any cell company data services because of the cost and the tiny screen on a cell phone. Tethered service (hooking up to a laptop via cell phone) is also very expensive. I will get a WiFi enabled smart phone ASAP and use WiFi data on free connections and use little or no phone company data (the minimum data plan required)

Have used T mobile, Verizon and ATT all at the same location Sprint as well as Nextel. AT&T is the only one that works most of the time anywhere I go from Colton to Estacada, Colton to Oregon City, with exceptions. Verizon is about the same. Where ATT doesn't work Verizon seems to. T Mobile is cheapest nice phomes, better customer service usually. ATT shuts down at night and weekends (customer service). New service from Verizon in the area of Colton is up now. ATT has tower near the Middle School in Colton. ATT is a little better than the rest.

Very good service, even the newer "3G" service works at my home and all the way to Portland except one small place along 213 at Caras where there is another cell tower (not ATT?). Been happy for 5 yrs both TDMA and GSM.

Good but understand that digital is on the way out. Holes of no service between here and OC. Phone is brick but rugged and gets better reception than the other GMS phones.

Overall I liked Verizon better when I travel but no Verizon service at our home. Hope it changes. GMD service and ranges don't seem to be as good as digital but I understand that digital is indeed dying.
