Spotty / bad reception. Dropped calls. Poor reception for 2 years with no improvement in sight. The AT&T local office has no clue if and when reception will improve. Love the iphone, but hate the phone service, especially for the amount of money I spend for 2 phones monthly. Looking to change.

I have great reception inside and outside and do not lose calls, I wish there were a service provider in Grants Pass as my calls are long distance to people in town. I can not use special services in this area. ie:updates.

If you are not in medford you will get you phone turned off. I bought my phone from Cingular in april 06, they decide to turn it off and told us to go with edge wireless. I loved my coverage and new phone but the person who sold me the phone made no mention of this fact in april.

I wish I had found this site before renewing my contract with Edge Wireless. At first they didn't tell me about TDMA and GSM, they just showed me the GSM phones. When I got home with it there was no service at my house! I thought it was just something with the model of phone so they had me trade phones. Still no service. By this time I'm very frustrated. Then they finally tell me that I may want an old TDMA phone in order to get better coverage. Not understanding what all these acronyms mean I take a new TDMA phone and sign up for 2 years. What a mistake! I have 1 year left to go and now they say that in May 2006 I won't get service on my TDMA phone and will have to either 1) renew for 2 more years to get a new GSM phone with lousy coverage (fat chance) or 2) pay full price for a new GSM phone with lousy coverage to finish my contract (no way) or 3) pay a couple hundred dollars to get out of the contract (what a lousy choice). I rely on my cell phone for business so I'm very upset about this.

When we moved from the SF bay area, I thought we may have trouble with coverage. We started out with Sprint and the reception was really bad. Then my husband got a satelite phone (since his travel takes him overseas) and I switched to U.S. Cellular. My coverage is better then his. When he goes out dirt biking he always takes my cheap US cell phone (Kyocera 1135)because we know we can count on being able to place a call when needed. It gets reception everywhere we go. Even when we go boarding up at Ashland. It has saved his life when he was able to call for emergency services from out in the middle of no where. I'd love to get a nice camera phone with lot's of features but am afraid the change in phones may change our coverage. Oh well, I guess I need to take the plunge.
