I went to Verizon just for the xlte and I can't believe how slow it is 20 MBPS or sometimes even 5 MPBS I think I'm going to switch back to Sprint because with them I at least had unlimited data and also had 4G LTE with speeds above 20Was this review helpful to you?
Never thought I would be getting this kinda speed 20-100 mps that's insane and faster then my charter internet I never got a dropped call ever since the tower upgrades and 4G LTEWas this review helpful to you?
Got dropped by T Mobile because they said we we're roaming too much. We never leave Klamath Falls. Service for 2 years then dropped. T Mobile very undependable. Was this review helpful to you?
This is the worst choice of cell phone company anyone could have for this area. Also they make it very hard to break contract. My husband works at the hospital and has no reception at all unless he can get his phone to connect to wi-fi and that is chancy. Do not use this service in this area. Was this review helpful to you?
Even US CELLULAR will tell you if you ask very quietly that the PHONE brand matters- it determines how much reception; of course combined with the towers and tower agreements your company has. Seven yrs ago and just recently they have confirmed that Motorola is first and LG is second in reception. I have traveled all over the country in the last 7 years from east coast to west, lived in Maine, Massachusetts, Cape Cod, coastal Oregon, Salem, Albany, Medford, and Bend Oregon- never had any reception issues but only an occasional back road for a stretch-I have traveled, stayed in forests, mountains, oceans camping- US Cell apparently has enough tower agreements where it doesn't have towers..but I only use Motorola and LG.Was this review helpful to you?
I've been depending on my Palm Pre Plus Verizon hotspot for wireless internet for 3 years now... only to move to Klamath a week ago and find that it often barely works in this area. The coverage jumps from 1X to 3G constantly, and as a result my internet speeds are horrible: web pages load slower than dialup. This stinks, now I have to waste my limited money buying additional internet service through another provider just to get consistency. Was this review helpful to you?
3G constantly flips back and forth between 1x and 3G, making websites load extremely slow and causing serious lag in phone conversations. It was fine until about a month ago. So I checked my settings for possible data sucking apps running in the background. Then shut down anything suspicious and powered my Droid Incredible II back up. No change. Next, I called Verizon. The tech support person took me through the steps of updating my phone so it'd look for the nearest tower upon boot up. She said she'd call me back to see if it worked. She never did. And going through the update process caused no change. Still excrutiatingly slow load times and lag in conversations. My contract expires in October of 2013. If this is still happening when it does, I'm switching carriers. My friends who live on this street and use other carriers do not have this problem. I'd like to join their ranks, lol.Was this review helpful to you?
Reception varies with where I am in house from none to 4 bars Have limited reception on Portland street and roam at hospital Not happy in K falls but great reception when traveling I5 and in major citiesWas this review helpful to you?
I have had good coverage with Verizon in the Klamath Falls area. Also good coverage inside the OIT buildings (I think there is a tower on the highway several hundred yards away). If traveling to Medford, there is coverage available roaming off of US Cellular towers (although can be spotty at times, but it's a pretty remote area). Was this review helpful to you?
Purchased online and used in Ashland with no problem. East of the Cascades it worked at first, so I bought $100 time... a little later, no reception. Local AT&T store said: "Sorry, we didn't tell you GoPhone prepaid won't work east of the mountains." That was certainly not their fault, because the phone was purchased online. Gave the phone to a friend who lives in the east of the mountains. Verizon works well in almost all but the most remote areas. Was this review helpful to you?
