I've been a US Cellular customer in Central Oregon since 1997. For that reason, I'm not at all surprised to have better than average reception where customers of other carriers have none (or, at best, marginal). The Trout Creek boat ramp and campground are no exception. In fact, floating the Deschutes between Warm Springs and Trout Creek, I have reception the entire way, as well as throughout most of the Trout Creek to Maupin stretch. Driving between Bend and Portland via Mt. Hood, the only stretch where I don't have call-quality reception is for about 2 miles on the west side (about 3 miles after passing Government Camp). US Cellular ROCKS in terms of reception, customer service, and pricing. And, NO, I do not work for US Cellular or any company affiliated with US Cellular.

My husband's company started T-Mobile over two years ago. Close to three. I joined the company plan lFebruary 2007 and have been VERY unhappy with it. The reception, or lack there of, has been horrible. Many dropped calls or calls that show dialing and suddenly "call failed". My chief complaint is the phone not ringing and going straight to voicemail and half the time that happens, the voicemail doesn't buzz until another voicemail comes in. I've missed several important calls due to this. If you go into a building, don't expect reception. We get no reception what so ever in Warm Springs, most especially the golf course. AND..I had Cingular prior to this... I got perfect reception at Kah-ne-tah, so don't tell me there's no reception there. My husband has a nice Samsung..same issues... another employee has a Blackberry... same issues. So, it isn't the phone. We are in the contract until December. I hope AT&T is local by then! I lost my phone in the lake yesterday. Because this is a company account, I'm getting the run around on replacing it. Can't do it without my husband's business partner at the store as well, because he's on the acct too. WHAT? Drove to Edge Wireless in Redmond... store is out of business. Drove to Bond St. in Bend... store has moved to 27th and Hwy. 20, went there and there are a few packed boxes in the room, a locked door, 2 UPS notices from May 20th and May 23rd, which tells me there's no one there either. The only place we could go was Best Buy and still couldn't complete the transaction because he partner needs to be there. Totally rediculous.

Yeah, we where driving down that same hill and got stuck in Warm Springs Indian reservation and we were attacked by by the local tribe that night and why, I tell ya, it was a long night. We had our selfs quite a battle. Come sun up we high tailed it out of there with only a few minor tall tells to tell.

We got stuck in our car on top of the Plains Hill on HWY 26 going toward Portland, on Warm Springs Indian Reservation.. Lost signal as soon as we left Madras, Oregon and began or desent on Hwy. 26 to Warm Spring Indian Reservation. We try everything to get a signal, nothing suck for 4 hours out there in the dark in our car. Virgin Mobile is not good for that area.
