Reception is spotty at best from Canby to Molalla or Silverton, and from Oregon City to Silverton.

We've been using AT&T (now Cingular) TDMA service in the hills of Colton for over a year. We can reliably use the phone inside the house if we're near a window. The house has a metal roof, but it's located on a ridge. Outside works well too. In both cases, reception is better if we use the hands-free earpiece so the phone's antenna is more in the open. The bottom line is that if you're up on a ridge, reception is passable, but down in a canyon you're out of luck. TDMA seems consistantly better than GSM here, and in other remote areas such as central Oregon. But Cingular / AT&T don't seem to offer any new TDMA plans, so we'll hold on to ours as long as we can.
