T-Mobile

My phone works great with 5 bars most of the time, until I walk into my house. It immediately goes down to 1 (maybe 2 bars). I drop every phone conversation at least once during the call. I have to stand in place while talking on the phone in my home, sometimes even making sure I don't make any sudden moves with my head, otherwise, the phone call is dropped. I'm switching to another service.

Has anyone checked out the tower map here? Can that be right? There's not more than 2 towers west of I-5 on the peninsular crest. No wonder I hate using the cell phone at home.

Constantly dropping calls. I go from 4 bars, turn my head, and loose the call. It is rediculaous out here. Thinking of doing the unthinkable. Getting a landline...

Stay away from Cingular if you are used to good call quality. You get what you pay for...

Been with AT&T forever and have now had it with them. After the 2 year agreement that I was sold was misrepresented even after reiterating with the agent what the bottom line was (yes my fault for not taking the time to read details). Basically told "tough- S***" by them afterwards. Reception at home is a crap shoot (works okay if I go in front of the house). Friends with other services come by and have no problems. Currently looking at Verizon and T-Mobile.

My two year old Sanyo 4900 works fantastic close to the freeways, but when I go deeper into NE, it gets worse. I have no problem when I'm upstairs inside, but occasionally drop calls on the main floor, and don't get them at all in the garage.

Verizon is great in Pdx but have you tried driving or Amtrak to Seattle? It goes roaming or dead from Longview to Centralia (about 2 hours). When I am onthe train, I see other people using T-Mobile and other services making calls without problems. Verizon should fix this since this is a major "commute" in the region.

Solid reception just about everywhere we have tried in the city, but Verizon is just too expensive so may have to switch when contract ends

Coverage is great in the rose city area. Been with ATT and now Cingular. Coverage for the most part has been great.

Since we were forced to migrate from At&T to Cingular our service has been horrible. It sounds like I've been getting the same run around from the Cingular reps as many other folks. They are in the process of sending me new phones but I'm almost sure that that will not remedy the problem. Lately our service has gotten so bad that I can only dial out about 10% of the time, and even then almost every single call is dropped. If these new phones don't fix the problem I'm going to demand to be released from my contract since they are not rendering the service that I am being charged for.
