I have the old analog phone and nothing has worked better, so I have kept the service. It's actually AT&T I still have the plan even though Cingular took over. I tried the new digital phones and switched back immediately to my old plan and nothing works better. If you don't still have the old plan your stuck because you can't purchase analog anymore to much power in bandwidth I guess. Nothing else comes close to this, has been great where all other phones have failed, unless you have a satellite phone. I use T-Mobile for my majority talk time because so cheap and is ok, some areas poor reception but can live with that.
I have very good reception, I give the service Verizon Provides a 5. I did not have very good reception when I had Qwest, and Cingular. My phone calls with Verizon don't drop, but it did when I had Cingular.
Reception is killing me. I drop every call in the I-5 curves and most calls at my home. Numberous "Network Busy" messages. I have to think that Cingular isn't the best provider in this area.
my qwest wireless servis works somewhat good in my apartment building on 160th and gleeson, but while inside, the call drops but when outside, no problem.

my qwest wireless servis works some what good in my apartment but it drops when I am on a conversation with friends or checking my minutes of use while inside the building. but, when I go outside, no problem. I talked to a qqwest wireless servis person about this and they said it's the tower, and not the phone. they also said that they are working on this problem and when it's done, my phone will update according to new touar Availability. I guess when you are on the lower level of your own apartment, that might be the problem also. But other than that, grate servis everywhare else I go in the city of portland, oregon
Looks like it's real hit and miss with any phone or service. I started with AT&T years ago and then Cingular when they switched me over and never had any reception or dropped call problems throughout the Portland metro area, including Tigard and Sherwood. That is until my last move, last February, into the Hollywood area. Admittedly, living in the basement of an old brick building will dampen the signal, but having to walk a block away to an open parking lot everytime to make or receive any calls is getting tiresome. But there's the contract and I don't want to pay for both a cell and land line. I also had started a new job in Oregon City (on the hill above The Home Depot and the dump) and received bad coverage there also. I wonder if there is a connection? Who knows...
Always good reception, no problems around town (incl. tigard, tualitin, I-5 / Barbur, clackamas, beaverton, etc..). Some issues on 'Bonny Slope' area west of downtown over the mountain / hill thing (thompson road). No other carriers work there, either, however. Text messages do, but no voice.
works well, but all cell phones suck really. wife has T-Mobile and both work in the house well. both are spotty as we move around the neighborhood, though.
