Local reception in the dalles is good and is also good on the I 84 to PDX. Anthig heading south toward central oregon is poor at best.

Reception varies within the house. It is better outside or up on the hill behind the house. We are in a creek bottom. The phone is Samsung and I don't like it. I am shopping for new service and have bought an unlocked Palm Treo 680. I will report back again.

Great reception in downtown The Dalles. especially compared to Cingular with GSM which stands for Generally the Signal is Missing.
