Warrendale Bayne Rd between Spang Rd and Big Sewickley Creek Rd. I had Verizon for years and this was always a dead spot. Switched to Spring and the coverage is great. Found that Sprint has a tower in someones backyard just off Friel rd.
we call it the Bermuda triangle. There's a paved berm where people pull over to finish their call. Funny thing is if youre in a SLIGHTLY taller vehicle like a truck or bus, you can hang on. If I hold my iPhone (horrible reception compared to my Motorola 815) up to the moonroof and use the ear buds I can keep the call. I make sure the black plastic covering the antenna faces to the right on the way UP since I think its the tower on wallrose heights road.
Cingular has crap reception all over the Pittsburgh area! There are a few small pockets of reception along the major highways, but that's all that I've found. Crap reception all along 76. Good reception in philadelphia though, but as soon as you leave, you have none!
