The only place I don't get service is in the basement, and that's hardly the carrier's fault.

I work in Quakertown and live in Bethlehem, I have traveled for Business both Domestically and Internationally, I love T-Mobile service GSM is the future of Wireless Technology once it is expanded CDMA networks will be obsolete. Don't believe me, then take your Verizon Phone overseas.

There is a PBS broadcasting tower here that will always impede reception. Even the FM radio goes out. When traveling down the hill into Bethlehem calls will invariably drop, although after the intersection with rt 412 reception is strong again.

I have had my Virgin Mobile phone for over 1 year and have done a lot of traveling. Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton, and New Jersey are my most frequently traveled areas. I would have given this phone a perfect rating, but for the first time in over 1 year I lost a call, but it was only in one spot in Williams Township. No phone is perfect, but this one was darn close! I am switching phone service to T-Mobile now, but that is only because I am tired of pre-paid minutes and I never had a good experience with cingular! I will be sad to give up my V-phone, but I would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone in this area!

I get good reception in Allentown, but in Bethlehem, where I live, the reception stinks. I get lots of echo, my calls are frequently cut off, and I frequently miss calls and am notified about messages hours later. The area is flat and dense. I don't understand why the service should be so poor. It's especially frustrating because this is a place I need to have the phone work. Verizon tells me there are no better phones, and they have no plans to fortify the signal in this area.
