actually there is a bit of signal now all the way at the top of the fire tower... but elsewhere in cooks forest is really bad. another place you can catch the signal is near the trading post right on the bend at the top of the hill. cellular one is the nations leading provider of cellular service... in other words they are saying they cover those territories, just not always with a signal, but they own rights to the territory.

I thought I would take a fishing trip along the Clarion in Cook's Forest. Absolutely no signal anywhere in Cook's Forest. I am on call for emergencies, so a cell phone is essential. Lucky I found an electronics shop that rented me a beeper. Cellular One doesn't even have coverage on the mountain tops. My son and I climbed to the top of the fire tower and there was no signal there. What happened to "Get the Signal?" Isn't that Cellular One's motto? Cellular One claims to be the #1 rural provider. That is certainly a lie.
