Considering where I'm located AT&T seems to be pretty good. I've had Verizon for 6 years and although they've always had spotty service, I thought they had the better service up here. Yesterday I purchased an iPhone 4 and was able to maintain a conversation along Rte 209 from Milford to Dingmans which is basically unlikely with Verizon. I'm testing the service out and will make my decision within the next week or two.

ATT sucks, no reception at home, spotty everywhere else,

Cellular one of PA couldn't be better for this area. I never loose calls, always have bars. Also, their customer service is top rated in my opinion especially compared to Verizon. Very personable. No roaming charges for calls from and to Pennsylvania. The only down fall is that they do not have a modern selection of phones.

We have Verizon and it works the best throughout the area with the exception of home (Birchwood). Every call to or from drops within :30 seconds. Calls may start off with 2 bars and then go to one or right to drop. Verizon informed me that they borrow their signal from the owner of the tower so I am roaming (but not charged extra in my contract). Conclusion- Verizon is the best, but not good enough (and there is seemingly no other option). I heard some nieghbors who have Nextel in Birchwood say they do okay with it. Anyone have any opinion on Nextel?

I had a prepaid phone from page pluse (verizon). near the road (silver lake) I had most times around 2 bars at least enough to make calls most of the times. once I when away from the road I had poor-to-no Reception except maybe on higher elevations, thou it had good roaming looks like from another carrier it never worked most phones had problems with roaming so even if your carrier gave you free roam it virtually never worked even if there where 4 bars, My conclusion what I saw from others that only Verizon (yearly contract),verizon (inpulse), and Nextel so for I don't know if boost mobile works which is a sister company to Nextel and uses the same iDEN network so I believe it is reliable, I hope somebody would try it out and post it on this site. again it only worked near the rd thats why I rate it at lest one bar

I always had service for the 5 or more years I've had verizon, now I have no service at all until I get to Newton NJ.

No service, voice or data. Deadzone.

Poor to no reception depending on altitude. Useless at home.
