I went to Verizon Store to upgrade my cell phone the LG 4400 was only giving one bar or none. I asked for a phone that would give me better reception. They looked up my address on their computer and said that I should have 5 bars. I explained my daughter has Nextel and has 5 bars in the same location but m6 LG 4400 and Audiovox CDM 8600 has only 1 bar. So again I asked them to show me the phones that would give me the best reception since I was only getting 1 bar. The sales person was knowledgeable about the phones as far a features, however everyone was scratching their heads because the computer shows I should be getting 5 bars. I purchased the LG 8100 which in the store had shown 5 bars. I went home and again had 1 bar or none. I could not even upgrade my towers because I could not get any bars long enough to complete the task. The phone flashed a message to contact customer service. She was also saying that I should have 5 bars in my location. Suggested I return the phone and try different model. But she could not suggest a phone that would get better reception must check when I go back to store. Back to exchange phones 2 more times to try different phones. After calling the 1 800 number for Tech support and reviewing all the other phones I had tries he suggested the Motorola E815. The best I came up with is the Motorola E815, which gives me 2 bars. I still cannot get anyone to explain to me why I only get 2 bars when they (Customer Service, Tech Support, Verizon store) say I should have 5 bars. Again my daughter with Nextel and another friend with Nextel get 5 bars! I am a loyal Verizon customer with both wireless and land line but... maybe I should hit my head with a brick and pay the fee to break Verizon contract and go with Nextel??? Anyone else in Douglassville with suggestions?
