Had switched to T-Mobile 4+ yrs ago due to having no reception in my house, having dropped calls, getting voice mail hours after they had been left and basically poor performance of the Verizon network in my specific area, especially since the houses are from the late 40's and all poured concrete. Switched to T-Mobile and am always at 5 bars, never had a dropped call and the customer service has been awesome! Not sure how ATT, Cingular and other rate in my area, but I honestly needed to have the reception inside the house, as it is no good to be required to take a call outside in the middle of the winter or the sweltering heat of the summer.

Many places in Abington Township have no or bad reception including the Glenside / Ardsley area. Through Elkins Park on Jenkintown Rd.and Susquehanna Rd.at Huntingdon Pike there is no reception. The people who don't drop calls in Philadelphia must not use I 76 because the signal between Montgomery Ave and just before South St. is awful. I have had many different Nextel phones through the years and it doesn't make any difference. Everyone I work with is switching to Verizon to get away fron Nextel's overpriced bad service.

nextel is okay, I think its a bit pricey. doesn't work in basements. I was looking for something better but no one seems to be any happier with there services either.

Recepition is OK as along as long as I stay in one spot in my house. The basement gets poor reception too. Also, like another Reviewer commented underneath and around the trainbridge overiding Susquehanna St. is bad. The NEC 515 reception gives off to much radition or something because if you hold in your hand for to long your hand will go numb.

I have seven bars total on my phone but I mostly have two. But I think it is still great reception. It's as good as when I have seven lines I sorta dont get it. P.S. the only place I never had reception was in a chruch basement.

No complaints. migrated to gsm and i get better reception almost everywhere. still no reception on valley rd in huntingdon valley, but that is no surprise, i didn't get reception with tdma there either. it's in a valley after all.
