I've been using Sprint in hershey for about two years and have good coverage all around hershey / harrisburg. Their customer service is generally pretty bad, but that's true for many carriers. I get good coverage all around Hershey, Hummelstown, Middletown -- except areas around Bullfrog Valley Rd.and Church Road. If I'm driving in the hills around the Med Center, at Shank Park or indoors in those areas, I usually can't get calls through. I know people with Verizon who have better coverage in these areas but can't get calls at the Giant on 743 or at Costco / Target near Colonial Park. Finally, I have no problems with calls in Harrisburg or on the roads in and out of the area, all the way to Pittsburgh or DC.

Usually have 1 bar in my apartment, near the Hershey Med Center. Although, having 4 or more bars doesn't seem to predict call quality. When talking to my midwest relatives, who have Verizon and LG phones, the calls break up often, whether I have 1 or 5 bars. Other times, call quality is great, even with 1 bar. I can't determine if it's the phone, the carrier, the weather or the location. But it's not good.
