Almost no service in house so take most calls outside. No service (call or data) in any stores in our area such as lowes, walmart, giant, etc.

Apparently, the increasing scary looking "can you hear me now" guy, never found his way here. Evaluating a number of providers (I'm considering a switch) on prepaid, my most recent is the Verizon Inpulse RAZR V3M. The phone toggles between 1X and EV, and typically has no more than 1 signal strength bar. That puts Verizon at the bottom in terms of signal here. Sprint is significantly better (totally usable), and T-Mobile (my current post-paid provider) and AT&T at the top.

Average, depends on how far inside the house I am otherwise I can make calls on the cell without a problem. I have GSM that used to be ATT. Considering I used to have Analog prior to this which had seriously tricky reception, this was an improvement.
