The problem I have is the fact that the coverage is so spotty, and the Wireless web is horrible. AT&T can spin the coverage any way they want but in truth the users of the iPhone in small towns are getting ripped off having to pay for 3G when there is no 3G available.

I've learned my property is exactly 3.24 mi fromthe new tower just North of PA 285 between Espyville and Linesville. During Summer of 05 and early into 2006, we always had 3 to 5 bars and NEVER dropped calls from that location. Then, something changed. We had trouble getting even 1 bar (standing on one hand next to a metal pole). I began a dialogue with Verizon in an attempt to get our reception back to what it was in 05. So far, all I've gotten from them is 'Lip-Service'. I'm getting techs from all over the country trying to explain the operations of wireless phones and what all the pitfalls are. I've repeatedly challenged them with this statement: "It worked so very well during 2005 and then disappeared in 2006! Please make an effort to restore reception to the 2005 levels!" I had one tech (last fall) tell me (verbally) that what they discovered is a competitors' signal is blocking Verizon? I asked which competitor; I'll get on their case also. As a final insult, their only suggestion to resolve our coverage problem in Westford is they will allow us to drop our two-year agreement and they will waive the early termination penalty! Does that really solve anything???
