I get perfect reception everywhere in Lancaster no matter where I'm at, in a basement, 1st floor, attic, whatever. The only place where it's a little Rocky for me is in the breakroom at the RR Donnelly Financial Plant at Steelway off of Maneheim Pike. I get 2, sometimes 1 bar and the calls get a little choppy but everywhere else in the building is EXCELLENT RECEPTION.

We previously had Mobile-T when we lived on Oregon Pike, but ran into many dead spots in south part of county - and when we moved to city, one of those dead spots was our home. Switched to VZW in 2003 and we've only found dead spots in Ephrata WalMart (which is no longer dead) and in Conestoga Valley high school, which is dead to ALL call phones. (Perhaps they are jamming cell phones? That's really a dangerous thing to do, but idiots abound in public school administrations, so maybe it's happening)

I have pretty good reception all the time, usually 4 or 5 bars. Voice, SMS, and data are never hard to come by but I do own a Blackberry and I know that helps the cause.

Only a few "dead" spots with Verizon. Still looking to switch to AT&T simply because of iPhone. Concerned about tether speeds and connectivity overall.

Reception is not excellent but the key to good reception here or anywhere in my opinion is buy a Sanyo phone. Sanyo phones get the very best reception in my expereience. I rarely get any dropped calls or dead spots.

Inside the house is iffy at best. Depending on where you sit in the house. Outside the house isn't real bad most of the time. Who wants to stand outside their house on a bad weather day to get good reception?

We cancelled T-mobile. I could only get reception in my kitchen, front room and bathroom and everynow and then, a bar would pop up in my basement but would disappear when I moved the phone. I was on a family plan and my other two family members couldn't get any reception in the house whatsoever and they had to go outside. Over near downtown, reception was 200% better.

I cancelled Nextel. Reception was good outside of my house but once I went inside, reception was only good (3 bars) around the edge of the house near doors and windows. NO RECEPTION in basement. I had trouble sending text messages toward the middle of my house and although my phone showed 2 - 3 bars, if I walked toward the inner part of my house while in a call, my call would drop, show no bars, then immediately go back to 2 or 3 bars. VERY VERY VERY poor in this area. Over near Prince, Duke, King and Queen Sts. was the best. I could get a good signal all over.

We had no problems with T-Mobile or the Sony when we lived on Orange Street, but the 500 and 600 blocks of Lemon are dead zones. We get at most two bars standing next to the window on the second floor, but anywhere else inside or even on the street, we get no bars at all. I called TMobile customre service and they confirmed that it was a poor reception area. I believe the problem is lack of towers for GSM phones, as our friends with Verizon CDMA phones have no problems.

We just moved 7 / 10 of a mile and realized we are now in a Dead zone throughout our house, deck, yard, street. Had no idea! Nightmare as I have this phone for work and I am on call 24 hours daily. Confirmed with AT&T that this is a "moderate" coverage area and it is not the (6) different devices that we have. ha-ha Moderate, you mean "none".
