Only one dead spot on Rt 581 between Carlisle Pike and I-81, and only on Northboud due to sound barriers. Otherwise coverage is excellent for about 20 miles around.
Reception is awful in and around my house. T-Mobile has promised an upgrade 2X since I got the service. No action. Had I known this I would have returned the phone last year. Contract is up next week and I'm leaving T-Mobile. This time I'm testing the service before I sign up.
I used to use an older Sony Ericsson T310 with AT&T, with that I had about 2 bars everywhere I went side or outside. Now with the L1400 and switched over to Cingular (same network really). I have almost perfect recept everywhere I go. It's great.
In order to use the phone, I literally need to walk outside my home and walk down the street approx half a block. I called T-Mobile and provided my address, and they confirmed that my address was in a poor reception area. In fact, driving along US-15 from Camp Hill 21st Street to the Mechanicsburg Cumberland Parkway exit also results in poor quality with the exception of the Market Street & 32 Street intersection (immediately in front of a T-Mobile outlet). I am extremely disappointed with T-Mobile.
