I was with Cingular. Sure I had 3600 rollover minutes, my phone didn't work in my house. Every call had to be done standing on my outside steps. Switched to Sprint--Perfection, perfect on all floors of my house, perfect going down my cement basement steps. Works everywhere, inside and out. Contract will be up soon. I'm not paying for their $100.00 "everything" plan. Will probaly switch to Virgin Mobile. They use Spirit services and that "everything" plan is under Fifty bucks. Go figure.
I have never had any problems with Sprint in this neighborhodd or my building. I am considering in switching to AT&T, but not sure if my service will be worse or better.
I used to get three bars in my house. For the past few weeks I get no reception in my house, on the street or anywhere within a few blocks. Occasionally the phone jumps up to two bars but as soon as you try to make a call it drops down to zero and says call failed. My friend has Cingular and gets 4 bars in my concrete basement. When you call they claim that their map says you have coverage. I'm giving them another week to fix whatever the hell it is that they screwed up this month. If its not fixed by then I'm switching to Cingular.
Has anyone else been having problems in the evening? I am getting full bars but the other party can barely hear. I am assuming it is my phone but I want to check before I buy a new one.
I live in Chestnut Hill on Mermaid Lane and walk my Dog every night. I find several blind spots with AT&T service. As I walk towards GermanTown I dropped service completely for a block and then it picks up a week signal at GermanTown. Did the same thing with T-Mobile and Sprint, Verizon was the best but I would drop signal completely in my house with them which was a whole differnet issue. No provider has been perfect and I've had the big Four and can only say you get what you pay for. Verizon is the best overall, AT&T is better in some places and has a few extra's. Verizon has much better cust. serv., not better than T-Mobile but the service with T-Mobile was no where near Verizon. Currently I am with AT&T, mainly for the sim card and ability to switch phones freely.
