As long as I have had Nextel, I have never been able to go to Mt. Airy as well as ghetto Cheltenham Mall and have service. This is stupid considering all of the vendors within the mall that are Nextel dealers. If you reside in Mt. Airy, don't even think about subscribing to Nextel, period.

It is rare that you would ever get reception in Center City with Nextel, which in my personal opinion is dumb considering that downtown Philadelphia has the highest cellphone usage in the City. Nextel needs to fix this problem... immediately!

Correction. Replaced original battery and antenna on dinosaur handset. Signal strength is 3-4 bars, calls sound clear as ever, all calls come through, very few dropped calls. Verizon's network is the stuff!

Inside, my reception is 3-4 bars. Outside, I am at full strength, 4-5 bars. No complaints here.

Sprint works great on Temple's campus, I have not had a problem with my signal fading out except for when I went down to South Carolina where the bevy of trees dropped status bar to 1 or 2, or faded completely but it's the deep south, what can you expect?

Reception around campus is excellent. I even get 4-5 bars when in my building at 34 and Walnut. However, the second I set foot in my building (Walnut and 40-41st) I'm lucky to see 3 bars, but 1-2 is the norm.

Great reception. Works fine even in the elevator. Only at times deep inside a building loses reception. Otherwise in the outdoors works great.

I use a Nextel for work. Bottom line, it sucks. Not only do you have to leave a building to use it, but even then you have to walk around until you get lucky. If you don't believe me, walk around Temple and look for people with Nextel's. They'll be hovering around doorways and windows trying to make calls. I've also heard things about Philly's emergency network conflicting with Nextel's frequency, so beware...

I came to T-Mobile from Sprint (don't get me started). I love T-Mobile. I never have trouble around Philly. Center City, South Philly, Temple, West Philly. Sometimes the signal bars go down, but my phone can always make a call and hold it. The only places I have trouble are out in the middle of nowhere Lehigh Valley, but that's to be expected...

Verizon Wireless on Samsung phone A650 you get 4 bars outside, and actually 3 in my basement.
