The inability of both AT&T and Sprint to provide a reliable signal to customers who live and work in Center City Philadelphia high rises is appalling. Whether in my 25th floor office or my 23rd floor home, my Sprint service is constantly dropping calls, having no reception, and draining the cell phone battery like mad. My prior AT&T service was no better. There should be sufficient towers within the city to serve higher levels in buildings. There clearly is not.
For the past 2 years I have not got any reception indoors in any home on the 800 block of brighton st., right near Whitaker Ave. I cannot make or receive calls anyone in my house or the neighbors. I can ONLY make and receive calls outside ON THE STREET, and even with that I only get 2 bars. I can barely make / receive calls near a window. T-Mobile is crippled in this area. My step dad has Cingular and he has reception everywhere in the house, even in the basement! I can't wait to get rid of T-Mobile and move to Cingular, thanks T-Mobile for your worthless network! I have complained to T-Mobile numerous times but they claim to have "3 bars" on their coverage map, its a lie.
reception is fine. but NO CALLS GET THROUGH. sometimes I have to dial 7+ times to reach someone, and texting is a nightmare of holding the phone in my hands and constantly resending mssgs over and over. lately it's been especially bad, dropped calls and network failures.
On Campus reception sucks. It works out side of campus, but once you are in any building no bars or have to find signal by moving around. I think the wireless internet connection of temple interferes with T mobile service.
For years, I had no problems with T-Mobile, then was convinced to try Verizon. As soon as I switched, I had very spotty connections in my house, I almost never have connections where I don't struggle to hear the entire conversation. My side of the convo constantly was "What? What did you say? Say that again." I'm lucky to have 2 bars anywhere in my house and no bars at all in the basement. With T-Mobile, everywhere in my house is full bars and great reception. If you're in Port Richmond, stay away from Verizon!
Verizon Wireless gets great reception in the Kensington area of Philly. I travel a lot in Eatern USA and have had no trouble with Verizon. (Meanwhile I have a friend who goes for miles and miles on major roads with no reception at all. I'll stick with Verizon!)
t mobile all you get is excuse after excuse. sales person from store finally stated that there are problems with the service due to fox chase cancer center.
