Reception of EDGE signal from ATT coming from McAlisterville decent outdoors for general call / data use. Indoors in town terrible if none at all. Verizon has antennas on same tower but no handsets to test performance. Nextel / Boost is running a microwave antenna from mountain corner on rt 147 about 18-20 miles away with excellent coverage in open area and or line of sight places. Visible from Rt 35 and Heister Valley at times. Visible from Buckwheat Valley as well. ECI Wireless is currently installing a tower on top of ridge behind town along sand valley road. Antennas appear to be directional gsm (AT&T) but is unconfirmed.
No signal in Richfield, PA. 7 miles east on Rt. 35, you can get a weak signal in Mount Pleasant Mills. 5-7 miles west on Rt. 35, you can get a weak signal in McAllisterville.
