My husband has a US Cellular phone for work. He travels about a 300 mile radius from Grantsville, Md. I have a Verizon Nokia phone. When I go along with him to work we compare reception as well as dropped calls. My Verizon phone is far more superior to his US Cell. I have better reception and far less dropped calls than he does.

I drove from Johnstown, PA through Somerset, and into Maryland. Since this area is the highest point in Pa, I expected alot of deadzones. I recently had AT&T and I did have alot of low / no service in this area. However, with my LG VX3200 Verizon Wireless plan, I got perfect reception the entire time I was on the road. I stopped at a few places along the way and checked those as well. They were all very good reception for talking. I do know that just over the Maryland line I was not able to text message anyone because Verizon is currently using another corporations towers to include this area in their nationwide calling plan. On a good note however, I am not charged for roaming or long distance anywhere I go no matter what tower I am using.
