Virgin Mobile
 4 Out of 5
Phone Model: Kyocera Cyclops |
Fisher Hill / Sharpsville Ave., Sharon, PA 16146 |

I've had Virgin Mobile for a couple of years now, though their network carrier is Sprint. Their pricing is great and coverage has been good overall, except for ONE place -- MY HOME! Pretty ridiculous that you really can't use your cell phone where you want use it the most! Zero or one bar at the very most, ever. But surprisingly a couple of weeks ago I looked at my phone and noticed 3 and 4 bars on a consistent basis. So apparently Sprint FINALLY put a new cell tower somewhere closer to the North side of Sharon and I am now a happier camper with Virgin Mobile!

About 3 months ago; I had CellularOne service. I was pretty happy with them overall in the beginning. After a while I started to notice random dropping of calls in an area of 4-5 bar service. I thought maybe it was my phone; so I started using the old reliable Nokia 6010, as it had always served me well. Same problems; still was having dropped calls and very garbled call quality. After about 3 months of CellularOne; I dropped them and went to T-Mobile.

Nextel coverage in my area has been fairly decent. I typically get 3-5 bars in my home. Occasionally; in my bedroom I will temporarily loose network connection if I place my phone on the floor. Nextels network is one of the more reliable in Sharon; and the most perfected; full network in PA. Ive been in several cities travelling through PA and have rarily ever been out of reach of the powerful Nextel network. Call quality is pretty decent given proper reception. The pitch; depending on your phone; can be slightly off from the persons true voice; but all calls made are very clear and audible.

Cingular service in my neighborhood and city has been great for my sister. She originally had CellularOne and switched to Cingular. Its been excellent so far. Stellar call quality and very strong signal even in brick buildings.

Phone Model: Sanyo SCP 2400 |

I recently moved from T-Mobile to Sprint. I never had a problem with T-Mobile at my home; but if I traveled outside my neighborhood it got shaky.. Not with Sprint. Ive had perfect reception; occasionally a few 2 bar areas with the normal fluctuation of CDMA networks; but all of Sharon is securely covered in SprintPCS network.

T-Mobile
 3 Out of 5
Phone Model: Sidekick 2

Coverage in the heart of Sharon is great with T-Mobile. On the outskirts of Sharon, into hermitage: its terrible. Hermitage is a major city in our area, and it has no T-Mobile service at all.

I don't live far from the Park and I just traded an LG phone for the Nokia. I had dropped calls all the time from my home with my LG phone. My Nokia has better reception but not a 5.
