Signal is very low, EV goes on and off all day long. Stting my my living room some times I can make calls, sometimes not. Text the same. Service is poor all around as my calles are constantly dropped, even while traveling on interstate highways througout the state. Not very satisfied with the service at all.

Nextel has the worst reception and is the most expensive service in this area. I have also used T-Mobile and Sprint, both are almost as pathetic. I use Cingular now with a Motorola v551j and I couldn't be happier, I think I have had 1 dropped call in 5 mos. And best of all I get FULL signal at home, something that all the other providers failed to provide. Granted, Sprint has come a long way in the years since I have used them, but then again they are paired with NEXTEL now so I would still avoid them. I have not tried VERIZON because the phones they offer suck or they are expensive, Cingular gives you a great phone for free!

New London Ave to Rte 37 east. Away get drop signal but only last for about 100 ft just long enough to drop the call. Service goes from 4 to 5 bars to nothing for that short distant.

Poor reception for most of this 5 mile area. I also have "no signal" at Electric Boat, Quonset Point Facility. The phone may also be to blame on this lousy reception. I would not depend on this phone / service / reception for anything important.

AT&T (Cingular) poor reception and I get dropped in 3 places when traveling on 295 between Cranston and Massachusetts. There are multiple drop off points on 495. In general this is about as useful as a CB Radio. I didn't like the plans and phones offered by Verizon but at least you can make calls.

Can even make calls in my basement with Cingular and the LG CU500 This is a quad band GSM phone. Tried a Sprint LX550 but it would drop every third call in my basement home office. Not a GSM phone. My wifes Motorola is a GSM phone, also good signal. Had a Nokia 1100 GSM, and it was aweful.

T-mobile has the worse reception of any carrier. I have very little to no reception near my home in western Cranston and very spotty coverage on 95 south of Warwick. Do not waste your money on T-Mobile.

Had great reception at my house until they activated the phone, now I'm lucky to get a bar or two. Every now and then my phone will go into roam, and I have great coverage until it goes back to the ATT / Cingular network. There's obviously a tower somewhere near by, and it's not an ATT / Cingular tower.
