From the day Verizon took over Alltel, the service in Bennettsville SUX.. I have called and heard every excuse in the book to try and get you to purchase another phone. I bought the most expensive they had and it did the same thing. Leave this county and my old phone works great. I told them that everyone I know seems to be having trouble in this area with Alltel and so for 4 months I have heard oh yea, we are maiking new changes to better your service in that area, it should be best in about a week. I think its just to get everyone to buy Verizon phones. LOOK AT THE PROFIT? Then they will force the remainder to do that by changes in the tower that no longer work with Alltell phones. I think we all need to change to a service that doesn't corner you to make you spend money. Mabe an add in the paper and some internet messaging?

I live on Academy Rd and have to find spots in my house to get reception and stop my phone from roaming.

It goes dead at certain spots and there is about a 10-15 mile window where there is absolutely no signal on Hwy. 38. And I can't get good reception in other spots in Bennettsville, SC.

I have very good reception in and around all of B'ville. Now that towers have gone up near Society Hill, I have reception going to Florence too. The only place is on 38 S of B'ville to I95, there are patchy areas where you don't have service.

All coverage in town is Extended Area coverage. Below average or poor reception inside buildings and homes. No coverage immediately outside of town or between towns in area.
