	My only complaint with Alltel is that they sold out to a POS company like Verizon!

	Had great voice and data with Alltel. Phone was completely useless for a week after Verizon took over. It works now, but very poorly. Verizon tells me that I need to upgrade my phone. They told a friend the same thing and it did help at all. They then told him he needed to change to a Verizon plan (more expensive) and that didn't fix anything. I have travelled the eastern US extensively and many areas I had good service with Alltel I now have little or no service. If you want crappy service there are cheaper providers.

	Generally I don't have any problems unless I'm inside the house. This is not good because we just got rid of our land line.

	AT&T GSM is excellent for overseas and in larger Metropolitan areas. In Columbia SC and the near by areas the service is very poor. The service is being provided by Cingular. There is another provider NCCC something and they are very poor in coverage also. And Columbia SC is telling the Cell providers that no more towers. So there is very little hope for better cell service in SC. So business people who maybe doing business in SC if you want cell service go to another state.
