No problem with Alltel. I get reception everywhere except the bathroom in Wal-Mart.

I'm a former Verizon customer currently on Alltel. I switched because with Verizon, coverage wasn't a problem, it was just using the signal. Something has to be wrong with their system here because I'd get many dropped calls, many occasions where my phone wouldn't ring, many times my call just wouldn't go through, and talking to others it appeared to be a common problem for several others. Now that I'm with Alltel, it's a move I'm glad I made. Coverage is even a little better. I usually average an extra bar whenever I go. I don't know if Alltel is at the top of the towers or what but the signal is clearer and stronger. But I have no reception problems anywhere around the area and the calls sound great. Full signal at my apartment as well as all over the Coastal Carolina campus and throughout Conway. It really does a good job indoors also. From experience and talking to others, I usually recommend Alltel to my friends because I like their coverage and ability to use the signal. The prices also weren't bad compared to others. From my comparison shopping experience Alltel gave more minutes than anybody else and my circle which was a nice bonus that others didn't offer.

Outside is spotty; inside residence has NO signal despite Nextel's coverage map reflecting complete coverage of this area. Numerous complaints to Nextel; they don't seem to care while the big rebanding issue is ongoing. This means additional years of poor service. Billing dept. never comes up short; bill always arrives on time.

No problems with reception except for a dead spot around HTC on 701 N. Sometimes works, sometimes not... Have had SunCom (never EVER again), Cingular (no reception inside buildings and horrible rate plans), Alltel (sent me same bill for $0.25 for two years, had to hire lawyer!) and Nextel (no coverage in rural areas and $$$). Switched to Verizon as a last resort even when I'd heard of their horrible customer service and locking of bluetooth and other features... it was the best thing I ever did! No problems with customer service, they've replaced 3 phones in 1 year (even after my contract had expired) and the best coverage I've had or heard of in the area (all Rivers out to Winyah Bay and even down in to Gunthers Island). We travel to the mountains extensively and I've never had any coverage problems (v710 is legacy network "analog" compatible) in VERY remote areas. The only complaint is a busy network problem during NASCAR races or big Beach events when there are tons of other people using the network. Can't say enough good things about Verizon and the V710 from Motorola. Don't know what I'll do if they ever make me switch phones!
