I have both Verizon and AT&T phones for work. And so does my mother with her job. Verizon is our personal phones while AT&T is for work. From Elgin to Camden to Lake Wateree, the only service that works and works wonderfully is AT&T. When you get into the back roads or when you are at the Lake itself, Verizon has never been reliable. And now with the fact that Verizon stopped leasing a tower at Wateree. The cell phone decision is no contest.

I really like Cingular Service, I had Sprint and Verizon wireless. Verizon didnt even have offical coverage out here so they let me out of the contract. Sprint just sucked. I get reception everywhere I go so far in Elgin. I have not gone to Lugoff yet but have been to west columbia and it worked great! I will be going out of town this week and will let you know how it did on the road! November 14, 2005

I switched to Cingular a few weeks ago and am now getting much better reception. It's not consistant though. Sometimes I get full bars and every so often (in certain parts of the house) I'll temporarily loose a signal, but that's pretty rare. My neighbor also has Cingular (they have 3 phones) and they also get very good reception.

My phone fades in and out of reception often. Most of the time I have one bar, sometimes no service at all. Once I get about a half mile closer to Elgin my reception is fine. I don't have a problem with service in Columbia, Lugoff or Camden either. It's just here at my house that drives me crazy.
