We live right off Rainbow Lake Rd.and we almost have to leave our house, or stand on ther roof to get a signal on our AT&T phones. It is ridiculous that I pay almost 300. a month for 5 cell phones, and can't get a decent signal on any of them when I am at home, and I am less than 5 minutes from Boiling Springs, SC where we have FULL bars in town. *shakes head*

At my house the reception is marginal with the Samsung a950 phone with Verizon that my wife uses. I have had a Sony-Ericcson phone through Cingular and it was also marginal. However, I have a Blackberry 7100 with Cingular through work and it has pretty good reception at my house. Recption is fine with any of them once you get a few hundred yards away from my house. However, I have heard that different phones make a big difference and their reception is not always equal. Friends have come with LG phones, and they have all had very bad reception. Motorola phones seemed to do pretty well.

We have a lot of out of state family and friends and went with Verizon for free long distance, but reception is so poor at home we cannott make a quality call on our cell phone. Also when shopping we cannot get a signal inside a building anywhere in the Inman-Boiling Springs Area. Have been fighting with Verixon for 10 months and cannot terminate my contract with an early termination fee. also told "buy a better Phone and you'll get better reception.

Suncom's UnPlan is really handy when it works. I use my Suncom phone to make calls while on the Interstate. I get very low signal at my home which is 2 miles from the I-26. Reception is not much better at office which is about 100 feet off I-85. My phone switches to Partner (roaming) about 20% of the time... even though they advertise "no roaming, no long distance". It does this all over Spartanburg even though I have "roam restrict" enabled on my plan. As expected, Suncom is enforcing their contract, saying I am stuck with the service or I can cancel and pay an ETF. Glad I kept my Verizon phone as my primary business phone! Verizon rulez as far as coverage in this area.
