I love my iPhone, which works well most everywhere EXCEPT where I live. What a bummer that I cannot receive or make most calls from my own home. It's not like I'm outside of a major area. This is a very helpful site.
Don't know if the person who posted about '1 bar' at coconut joes, no service etc has a defective phone but I have 4 / 4 bars at Coconut Joes, all over IOP and for the majority, all over Charleston.
Only 1 bar on the beach near Coconut Joes. No service once you get walking a ways. This area really needs improvement. Terrible EVDO coverage (EV displayed only, no bars) and 1x is mediocre at best.
Perfect coverage all over Isle of Palms. 5 bars at all times on the main stretch of the beach and wonderful call quality. On Isle of Palms however, there is no 3g coverage, just EDGE.
