My service used to be great. First my braodband card was turned off by me, because after the Alltel merger my broadband did not work unless I stood outside, now my phone reception is doing the same. Service... .. What service. I am shopping for a new carrier. Did Little River move off their map for service concerns? Customer Service used to be Verizon Wireless's strong suit. NOT ANY MORE!

Moved here in 2005 and coverage was horrible. In the past 5 years it has improved significantly, even though I only have 1 bar. Now I have reception in the front of our neighborhood, and all the way to the back by the river. Now, I'm waiting for Verizon to support Apple i-phone.

Signal goes between no signal and 1 signal bar inside the house. In order to make or take a call, you have to go outside to obtain signal. Just received new SIM card that is "supposed" to help with the signal. Even though Cingular has taken over AT&T's cellular service and Suncom is a subsidiary of AT&T, they don't roam on each other's towers. Therefore, no good signal in the area. If you are looking for coverage at your home and you live in an area that has a lot of trees, go with Suncom. Alltel is okay, but I experienced a lot of calls going directly to voicemail without my phone ringing. I am trying to stay with Cingular because of the cost of the rate plan, but I may have to resign to signing up with Suncom. And yes, Suncom's customer service is not great. But neither is Sprint, Alltel, and Cingular. You just have to chose the lesser of all evil's.
