Even though Alltel doesn't have a tower in Loris, their coverage is very good -- even inside of some buildings. I guess the recent addition of the Tabor City, NC tower helped.

Don't get all my calls. Phone never rings, although it sometimes rings once and then goes into a missed call. Calls that don't reach me go into voice mail and voice mail is not a function that will work in my area. I have to manually dial my voice mail to check if I have any messages, if I do, it is then that I realize I got a call and never had the phone ring. I have a stong signal when talking on the call when in my home. It doesn't drop the calls, but they just don't reach me.
