Great reception all over Mt. Pleasant. Where I work just off the highway has a full signal just like where I live. I can use my phone all over and never have a problem. It sounds so clear it's like having my home phone in my pocket. I love the service and plan too. I'm on the one with My Circle and free texting. It saves me so much compared to my former provider, Verizon, and the signal is always better.

I get great reception with Verizon all over Mt Pleasant except inside my house and my office.

Have three Sprint phones. Of those, the Sanyo consistently has better reception than the Nokia and Samsung models. Both the Nokia and Samsung lose reception in the apartment, but the Sanyo holds rock steady at 1 to 2 bars. Very few dropped calls.

The reception all over Anna Knapp it is just poor. I get more signal power when I turn on the data connection. In fact when I do that I get better call quality. But overall is just a pain

I will go from having 5 bars to no reception at all just in a matter of moving from one room to another. My roommates have perfect service using their US Cellular and Verizon phones, considering switching... .

T-Mobile uses Suncom (and Cingular) service in Charleston, and they're both spotty in and around Long Grove. Suncom is awful -- I drop calls most every time I cross the Wando Bridge on I-526.

Constantly drops calls. Indoor reception is poor, signal strength - 0 bars, outdoors reception is still poor, however signal strength increases to one bar. Incoming calls most often go directly to voicemail.

I live in Laurel Grove and when I first moved in 2 yrs ago I got reception all over the place but cant get reception on the first floor and poor on 2nd floor.

One bar at best with my cell phone and I will drop calls in certain rooms in my house. Terrible coverage with my laptop using the Verizon USB modem; like using dial up for internet connection and downloads!

Alltel admits there's a problem in old Mount Pleasant,especially near the harbor; they claim that several ships which call here broadcast on a frequency very close to Alltel's tower. The rep also said they have a bad antenna on the tower that services this area. When the switch from Alltel to Verizon is completed they say they'll use the tower with the stronger signal, but who knows if this will solve the problem. I bought a very expensive HTC Touch Pro, thinking that better equipment might help, but it's even worse. It's ruining my relationship with my boyfriend -- he's constantly saying he can't hear me and I'm tired of poor phone reception and dropped calls. Does anyone in my area have a suggestion for a good carrier?

Can't use in the house at all and drops 80% of calls from the front or back yard. Same problem at the house with Verizon. AT&T though works great. Makes no sense!

I just moved to Molasses Creek and was missing calls, couldn't place some calls, even from my front yard. Typically 0-1 bar. Verizon sent techs out and verified that this is a 'marginal reception area' and that they have no plans to improve the service here. That was their story when I lived in Wild Dunes, too, but now I am within 1 / 4 mile of Hwy. 17 and the Ravenel Bridge, where one would expect good coverage. They let me out of my contract without penalty.

I continued to be amazed at how poor ATT reception is in Mt Pleasant. I work on Daniel Island and live in Mt Pleasant. 526 is full of dead spots... typically at the top of each bridge. 2 bar reception on DI, provided you are not indoors. Coverage in the Belle Hall neighboorhood is typically 0 bars to 1 bar.

There is no and / or almost no rececption in Long Point subdivision.

Horrible reception in Dunes West. Verizon states they are going to build a new tower. However, reading other reviews, sounds like a bunch of lies. I go outside and still lose reception. I am trapped and wish Verizon would get with the program.

I live Three miles from the Verizion Store in Mt Pleasant SC, I get no reception at my house even if I walk into the middle of the street. They Know and do nothing about it
