I love T Mobile's customer service but the reception in an area where I am most of the time is really bad... .frustrating because prices are good and it is a good company. I thought maybe the towers were being blocked by a big building that was recently built, and I called T Mobile maybe 10 times and no change in the towers at all... . so... .I am thinking of switching companies... .maybe a straight talk phone?

Overall, Verizon and Myrtle Beach get along. I have never dropped a call in Myrtle and rarely go somewhere were there is less then average reception.

I just spent three days in Myrtle Beach(12 / 26-12 / 28)I received a call on 12 / 26 as I was existing off I95 and the reception was perfect. However, I did not receive a call or text, or able to place a call or text until 1 / 2 mile from I95 - 3 days later on 12 / 28! Went to Verizon while in Horry County and they said my phone was dead. Asked then why I am still receiving e-mails? Solution was to buy a new Blackberry for $250.00 because "sometimes this is how phones die." Has anyone else ever had this problem?

NO reception in my home. Traveling through Louisiana, calls went to voice mail. WOrking in NY, voice mail pops up days later. Initial bills I was charged for 4 phones! Took 3 months to get straight. Cell plans are awful. I will be paying the 175.00 to get rid of them

The reception is great here but the 4g data coverage starting at 62nd ave and north changes to 'edge'.

In my room at sandy beach resort in the palmetto bldg I get "no network coverage" even out on the balcony-nothing! I have to go out into main hallway to make or receive calls In the Magnolia side I get 1 and 2 bar coverage.

I have a Verizon coverage and T-Mobile coverage and both work perfect.

I experienced 3-4 dropped calls per day, mostly in my room. I've traveled moderately across the US and this is by far the worst reception I ever experienced. The island is so small and flat, 1 well placed VZW tower could probably solve the problem. It should also be noted the reception was equally as poor on my Blackberry as my wifes LG!

Verizon sucks in Myrtle beach. Signal bouncing all over the place, loosing it at some points (all phones we have). Luckily I pulled up the service menu and changed it to "cell only" which forced it to roam on alltel. With the Alltel service, I've had 4 bars 1x and EV the entire time. They really need to finish the merger because Alltel is much stronger than Verizon here. It is pitiful how terrible Verizon is.

Tons of Dropped calls. Verizon says the tower is weak in this area and there are no plans to fix it anytime soon.

Have tried Suncom and hated it because of all the dropped calls or no service. Since switching to Sprint 3 years ago. Not an area in Myrtle Beach or the Grand Strand that has had no signal. The only one I have found is about a 4 mile area on 17 between Georgetown and Charleston.

As you pull into the school (CFHS) on gardner lacy road you lose most bars but u can get some very little scratchy service standing outside. In the school you get no service except for some certin spots.

SunCom's customer service bites, and the call centers are uncooporative. Too bad they have the best plan (Unplan) so they know people won't leave them.

Waited four years for better signal. The new avalon tower was built right next to HTC / AT&T sub station. Which is owned by Verizon. HTC really dropped the ball on this one. There atennas are the lowest on the tower as Verizon is on the top. Lucky to average 1 to 2 bars and 3g usually 0 bars. Calls are being constantly dropped as before. The tower did nothing for our area. The time has come to see Verizon and check there signal and phone plans being there sitting on top of the tower. Shame on HTC you blew the chance to take care of your customers as you had promised. Kudos to Verizon

We have an extender with our Verizon service and still have no signal or dropped calls constantly. Have called and called Technical support. Reps are always very kind / helpful but nothing ever changes.

sprint as carrier. dropped calls. texts arrive while in house and calls. calls are broken and hard to hear person. Sprint said my phone 2 years old and not getting good reception. bought Samsung seek and same. not sure if I should change carriers.

I live in Seaside Grove and have a $300 phone, my service should be impeccable. Instead I get constantly dropped calls, calls that fade in and out, and calls that never go through. People say they call me all the time, but my phone never actually rings. I thought maybe people were pulling my chain and not actually calling, so I called my cell from another phone, sure enough, it never rang. I pay $180 / month for Verizon service.. I sure as hell deserve better service than this!

Moved here 2005 with Cingular. Had full bars. Now 2010 with ATT and frequently have no reception and mostly only 1 bar.
