We recently switched from Verizon to Alltel and now we get 2 to 3 bars inside our house. With Verizon we had zero to 1. I just hope the improvement is not temporary now that Verizon has purchased Alltel.

In my dorm room at Winthrop University I am able to get no reception what so ever and would like to know what to do about it

Poor reception and many dropped calls with Alltel at my house. Usually less of a problem away from home. Same issues with a Kyocera phone. Alltel service and customer service is very poor in every way. I would have Verizon ecept reception is also poor in Meadow lakes II at least at my house. Am looking at other carriers.

With a new Apple Iphone 4 I have been able to get consistently good 3G service throughout the Rock Hill area.

Lived here for two months and got cell reception at home exactly twice, received texts message. "CALL FAILED" is what I get after dialing any call from home. Need about 7 miles from Lake Wiley before I get reception, and I have messages days-old. I have zero bars in the house and one bar at the dock but no connectivity. Need to have wi-fi cell phone service because my internet at home has been fine.

I used to have very good signal with AT&T inside the house on all my phones, but around June 1st 2009, the signal was so bad that I couldn't even talk to people when outside. No other provider is any better, so I guess I'm screwed.

Very bad reception with this phone. Had a Tilt and got great reception anywhere in my house. Now I have to get my home phone turned back on. Not happy at all.

Can use anywhare in our house. Only occasional static due to weak signal. Typically 3 bars. Superior to Verizon which is pretty useless here in Holland Springs.

3.5 miles away from exit 77, I-77, going toward Lancaster (Hwy 5 exit) - service lost. Happens every time. Dead zone.

Tower behind Rock Hil Aquatic Center. Perfect reception in this area.

Used to get an Excellent Signal here a few months ago...Seems to be getting worse.... I wonder what is going on, someone stealing copper from the tower? I dunno :-(

A couple of years ago I always dropped calls here. It's been good for awhile now.

Must be a new site turned up. Coverage is great outside and most of inside the school... ... ... ..but we can't use it inside except after school lets out. Live nearby in Meadowlakes II and we now have full coverage in our house. Yea Comporium / Cingular!

Not-so-good to poor reception at my house. Once we head toward town, it gets better quickly.

All over Rock Hill I have reception. Even at my house where no other carrier picks up, I have crystal clear reception.

Good coverage, but I weighed the Need By the COVERAGE MAPS. Nextel provided the features I needed. The customer claiming no coverage in the mountains LOOK at maps before you buy... ..

In Cobblestone Village, just west of Ebenezer Park, I can stand in one spot and not move my phone at all and watch the reception bars go from 4 bars( the best) to 2 bars to NO bars back to 1 bar then to 3 bars and then lose reception all together. Phone will read NO SERVICE. Wait for a minute get reception back and go through the whole thing again. Fortunatly sometimes the reception is good, 2 to 4 bars, until I move a foot or so. Moving back to that same location does not mean that reception comes back. It only means it will take just a couple seconds longer to drop the call. I can go a 1 / 4 mile North, South and West and the reception is fine, 2 to 4 bars. I have to go about 1 / 2 mile to the East to get decent reception. Nextel says they don't know what the problem is Sprint on the other hand does not have that problem. Funny they are the same company! I have had my phone serviced and diagnostics done on it by Nextel and nothing is wrong with it.

Reception seems to be getting instead of better. Many dropped calls or just no signal. Had to put Airave in the house to get reception. Just makes you mad that you pay them for service then pay them and use your bandwidth to use their service.
