Had a couple of bars and could call from inside of house until about 4 weeks ago (7 / 15 / 09 today) but since then have to walk all over the yard to get a signal and still drops calls constantly. Tower is only a short distance from my house but still no signal. THought with the Verizon take over of Altel the signal would get better as they had towers everywhere around here. $62.50 a month and can't use the phone at home,PATHETIC. I don't know why all of a sudden it got this bad but the phone is useless now!
Have had Cingular which does not work at all out here and Verizon which if I walk around long enough I will find one bar and need to stand very still! Alltel is the best when you live "out of town"
