alltel has the best reception for oconee county. I have been with them for 10 years now and have no problems at all with reception. there are only 2 or 3 locations that I dont get a signal and and those places are only obtainable by foot. but from jocassee to hartwell,long creek to walhalla I have no problem.

Switched from AT&T 2 years ago. Had no reception inside. Verizon is like a land line inside my condo, but currently is weak at best in Walhalla at my place there.

I get little to NO reception using Sprint. We just recently moved here and Sprint has agreed to cancel my contract with no penalties. Would like to know which cell phone service would be the best choice for this area.

No reception on Hwy. 11 approaching Salem, From Little River Rd. / Alexander Rd into downtown Salem, The library, Dollar General Store and post office have no signal available, any time. Have repeatedly asked Verizon about this. Verizon's response is "Yes, we know. Some places we just can't reach."
