Alltel 5 Out of 5	For the moment, it's still Alltel here, but with the sale of Alltel to Verizon and the divestiture of Alltel's SD assets to AT&T, we will soon be a Verizon / AT&T town. But that will likely have to wait until the second cell tower is built, probably later in 2010. My guess would be that the existing cell tower will switch to AT&T as a divested asset, and Verizon coverage in the area will be spotty until the new tower is up. Or it could be the other way around. (They're not telling us.)

Alltel 5 Out of 5 Phone Model: Audiovox CDM 8910	Digital cellphone service finally came to Arlington, SD in the fall of 2004 with the erection of a tower on the west edge of town. Now reception is excellent.
