No reception since entering South Dakota, when called the phone goes straight to VM, no ringing. Called the 1-800 # and had to spell Sioux Falls and South Dakota about 8 seperate times... .and still no luck.

i travel ND, SD, IA, MN, WI, IL. Rarely a problem with signal strength

I use T-Mobile. While driving around Sioux Falls with your T-Mobile phone you will lose your signal and roam a lot, I didn't even know that roaming was still possible until I moved here. The same issue is with any ATT phone, the best phone reception in the city is with Verizon.

I'm getting a faster than expected Edge signal here which makes websurfing not so bad. It's not 3G fast but still fast enough to watch YouTube. Not bad considering T-Mobile doesn't officially serve the market here but I still get the service for my tablet.

Excellent reception and 3G! I switched from Verizon as soon as this Alltel takeover took place because of how much faster at&t's network ISA now I run my laptop and computer at home instead of having cable Internet. Excellent coverage!

Had to put a repeater on the roof of the Morton building they call my office - works much better than before. Still not 3G service, but Edge voice works okay as long as I don't stray too far from the repeater. When will the Alltel switch happen? January what? I'm holding my breath...

No problems on Alltel. We'll see what happens when AT&T finally starts up in the next few months. As for those with AT&T, since there isn't really service here, and Verizon, Alltel, etc. are a different network type, what did you expect? Give it a few months.

I what. The I stink phone. Reception is so-so, but the data is horrible, cannot do anything unless on wifi.

Sprint coverage is horrible at home. It is better around town. Unhappy with Sprint Customer Service and unfortunately stuck in 2 year contract. Can't wait until it ends.

Have been on Sprint, Verizon and now AT&T and honestly, there isn't one good carrier out there.

I have had a lg2 lg3 black berry and I say I have more problem with dropped calls and it does not matter where I am. I can talk to another Verizon person and get 2 dropped calls while talking to the same person. I am not happy with this and it seem to be getting worse. Am thinking of switching, but have been a long time customer and they can not tell me why I am getting the dropped calls. I always have all the bars when this happens. so go figure this one out

Overall service is ok but not as good as husband's LongLines. I went with Verizon because of the hype and I get a 7% discount through work. I am locked for 2yrs or I would switch. Out by chamberlain and pierre my husband gets better service than me-alot of the time! Just watch out where you need to be and the coverage because its not as good as they tell us it is.

We got this phone at Christmas and it works awesome! The rebate took a while to come.

At home it is bad at work it is better. this is supposed to be good but isnt.

I have perfect service all over here in Sioux Falls from AT&T with no roaming. My reception has been perfect everywhere even though it is edge only (no 3G).

So little problems with Verizon that I rated it a 5. Travels to West river, still no problems. Once upon a time had AT&T but never again. Dropped calls and no service once you leave Sioux Falls, unless I stay on I90 headed East. A Verizon customer for life.

Since switching from Alltel to Verizon I have never been without signal. Very happy with Verizon.

While in Vegas in January 2007, the reception went up and down like a roller coaster. I had a network card for my laptop and that was much the same as the cell phone. I did the PRL Roaming update before I left my home in South Dakota, but didn't do anything for me.

At home I get 3-4 bars through the entire house, even in the basement laundry room. At work, I get 1-2 bars, which is really good for the type of building I am in.
