I used to be able to make and receive phone calls from a south facing bay window in my home. Now I can only make phone calls from my driveway. seems to work in the other parts of town, just can't use it in my home.

Alltel has a great signal all over Watertown. I have no trouble at all making a call and holding onto it and I'm always on a full signal. I've not had any problems anywhere in city. Also appears to do very well traveling. I would rate the service very good here.

The reception is ok in town, although I tend to drop calls when turning onto 14th Street. However, once I leave town I get no reception unless I'm traveling on the interstate. Sprint 'upgraded' their service a couple of years ago to include 'free roaming'. But, this is a joke since I can't get calls when roaming anyway. As soon as I get out of town my phone fluctuates between no and one bar. If I have temporary reception, it quicky goes away once I try to make / answer a call. Everyone else I have spoken to regarding sprints coverage tells me the same thing. My contract is up soon and will be switching to another carrier. This is too bad because sprint's pricing is the best (but not really when you consider you have no coverage when out of town).

Sprint has excellent coverage in Watertown and around the Lake. Don't have dropped calls like you do with alltel
