Once you exit hwy 27 to mountain creek service is poor. On browntown rd it becomes nonexistent. I cannot receive or make calls even outside my house text messages will not send either. To bad service seems good every where else. I will change carriers at the end of my plan.

Reception is non existent deep within the hospital with ATT. Verizon customers have good reception. If your phone is critical for your job at Memorial Hospital don't sign up with ATT.

Sprint's reception, despite their promises for years to improve, has actually cascaded downward in the past year. It is taking me on average 30 seconds to make phone calls connect, dropped calls have increased and 3G broadband is virtually nil throughout the Metro. Sprint is failing in Chattanooga and I am miserable until my contract is up.

Prior to signing up with T-Mobile 3 years ago, I drove around my normal routes with a friend and his Nexus One to test signal strength. At that time, there were a couple of very small dead zones that were acceptable to me. However, since that time, these dead spots have increased in both size and quantity. In fact, it's gotten so bad that If I walk to certain rooms in my house, I lose my signal. And I live atop a high ridge. And their "4G" coverage in Chattanooga is even worse. When you can find such a signal, it's barely faster than Edge.

When I say the reception is poor, it means really poor, almost no reception. If I stand still out on my balcony in one particular spot, I can usually carry on a short conversation. Inside almost never. Texting isn't usually a problem, but sometimes I don't receive them. I just get a blank message from whomever I'm texting with. It has been very frustrating and I'm about ready to give up on Sprint!

Wish I would've checked for Sprint reviews before making the switch from Verizon. I now have ZERO data connection from inside my house! Really really really disappointed! Will be sending these 2 brand new Galaxy Note 2's right back to sender. You shouldn't have to connect to your own wifi just to check your dang email from inside your house. Two thumbs DOWN!

0 Out of 5 (0 stars) | Germantown Rd. | South Terrace, Chattanooga, TN 37412 |

No service at all on Germantown Rd.at South Terrace. No service in my neighborhood, which is right off Germantown Rd.and.5 miles from I-24. No service on 1-24W (heading downtown) at the Ridge Cut until you get to the 4th Ave. exit. When you're heading into the area on I-24E (coming from downtown), the service disappears at the East Ridge Exit. This whole area of East Ridge is a dead zone. Service comes back once you get to the intersection of Germantown Rd.and Ringgold Road. I am VERY disappointed and frustrated by this lack of service in such a highly populated area.

3 Out of 5 (3 stars) | Standifer Gap | Ooltewah-Ringgold Rd., Chattanooga, TN 37421 |

AT&T. Good service most of the time. There are several weak zones and drop spots like E. Brainerd and Banks, Amnicola Hwy. heading into / out of downtown, Ooltewah-Ringgold Rd going to Ringgold, etc. AT&T is expensive. Business associates like Verizon. Comparable cost to AT&T, but I hear better coverage in Chattanooga. Love the Virgin iPhonr plan, but Sprint network it uses is lousy here.

1 Out of 5 (1 star) | Mountain Creek Rd., the Quarry Golf Course | Reeds Lake, Chattanooga, TN 37415 |

I live just north of the old Quarry golf course and Reeds Lake Rd, and at my house most of the time I have no reception. Even if I go outside, sometimes I will have a little bit, but most of the time I have nothing. If I'm downtown or out at Hamilton Place or even St. Elmo I get great 3G coverage. Other than that, I think T-Mobile is an awful choice for the Chattanooga area if signal is important to you.
