I tried the MIFI 4GLite for home internet service. The first month was truely amazing with the speed and reception. Second month was toatlly different. I still had 4 or 5 bars on the MIFI device but it would stop working after a few minutes. I called Verizon several times to get this worked out. The best answer I got was I was in a area with poor reception, I told them I had 4 to 5 bars on the device but they wouldn't try to resolve the problem I did get to cancel the service without a early disconnection fee but I had to call 3 times to get them to shut off the service. I think that this service could be good if Verzion would upgrade there towers to work with the internet devices that they sell to new customers without really knowing where or how good they will work.

I have good reception most of the time. Although, there are two dead spots that I encounter on the way home from work. I commute from Columbia to Nashville everyday. I would highly recommend Verizon.

Even showing 5 bars with the usb dongle outside, I get horrible speeds. At times my download rates are in the dialup range of about 8 to 10KB / s. I have placed multiple calls to Sprint and they have never addressed the issue or even returned my calls related to the issue. I guess they hope I will go away. Up until a few months ago I was getting 150KB / s downloads on average with 2 bars. They have done something to the 3g coverage that is messing with the download speeds. Using sprints bandwidth test, my upload is almost always 2x my download speeds. They have never provided an answer as to why this is the case. On sprints detailed coverage map I am in a dark green section.

I almost always get a great reception! Vast improvements over the last year or so.

It gets really good service everywhere and I live in the country.

I have a perfect reception but it's always roaming, it says I'm in Cingular's area.
