Being I have been with Sprint, Verizon, and am now an AT&T customer, I can say honesty if you work around macon and have Verizon or Sprint you will have no reception at the corner by walgreens or anywhere really around town. I say AT&T is a little high but I always can use my phone which means alot because I work in computer repair and never know what I may run into on a job. Btw if you have been with Sprint less then two mouths they have a contract test run you have two mouths to decide if you like them.GOODLUCK... Hopefully you can get out that contract if you are with AT&T have reception problems it is because your phone suck spend money on a phone then you may have service.

Cingular / AT&T reception here has been 0-1 bars for 5+ years. I can practically see the nearest AT&T tower from my back yard and was told by AT&T that I'm within 1 1 / 2 miles of four towers, yet in spite of numerous calls to customer service, no one will address this issue. They insist our neighborhood has 100% full coverage. No one who has AT&T service who comes within 200 yards of my house can get their phones to work. There are no radio or TV towers or other causes of interference that anyone can find. My house actually sits on a hill. AT&T simply doesn't work here. I've noticed my coverage both locally and out of town has severely degraded in the past couple of years, too. On a trip to Texas in the same place I used to get 4 bars I now get none. AT&T tells me I just need to buy a new phone. I've bought two new phones since I've lived here and neither worked here when it was new. Why would I think another new phone (with another 2-year contract) would work now? Oh, and the zip code here is 38016, not 38018, but 38016 isn't in your database.

the reception here is terrible with 1 bar most of time maybe 2 some of the time. I have the data plan and are unable most of time while at home to use the 3gs network to load any web pages. I called AT&T and they said they have 3 towers which are going to be fixed today although my problem has been going on for several weeks. I asked if they can do anything for bill or let me out of my contract if it continues and in short no. I have used AT&T or Cingular for at least the past 15 years and currently I am very unhappy with the service in cordova, tn 38018.

We have had AT&T for 12 years at this location. In the last two years, the reception has gotten much worse to where we have no cell coverage at our house, in the yard, or down the street until we get out to Germantown Parkway. We used to have Nokia phones that seemed to work alot better than the Samsungs we have now. Does anyone out there have a cell phone / company that works in the area of Dexter / Chimneyrock??

Whenever I am inside my house, for every 10 calls I make, 8 of them are dropped. I always have to step into my backyard to get a good reception, and even then it's only 3 bars at max. Also, when I'm at my job (at the airport) the reception is just a shoddy. So, I'm very frustrated with Sprint because my calls are dropped the most in the places I spend the most time!

I too show a lot of bars at times - but have a lot of dropped calls - (a lot) - and alot of errors in connection or Net work busy messages. I can be sitting in a stationary position and watch signal go from 5 bars to 0 and try to access internet or email and get numerous error messages. Had good service for several years but currently experiencing very poor quality in last several months with no explanation. I must use for business from home now and it is not working - am also looking for alternative.

Terrible reception at home. Dropped constantly. Sometimes my voicemail indicator on my phone lights up... BUT THE PHONE NEVER RANG ???? Whats up with that. Sprint has terrible service in this area.

The intersection of Chimneyrock and Dexter is a dead zone and carries on until you get at least 1 block past either street. This has been a dead zone for YEARS! I know I used to work for Cingular. It is the towers (or the lack thereof)... not the cellphone.

Singular is excellent when traveling..At home I have very little to no reception (0 to 1 bar)... Must use hushand's T-Mobile to make and receive calls(At home)... He has excellent (4 to 5 bars)... Most calls are missed!

My Treo 650 rarely has a problem in this part of Memphis. Some of the problems are with accessing the GPRS network, and they are often caused by a conflict with the phone's own bluetooth feature. This problem doesn't affect the phone features, just the Internet access. The signal almost always shows a full signal inside my apartment. At work, my signal stays full as well, and I'm able to make and receive calls with ease. I've also taken the phone all the way out to Collierville will very few problems. Coverage on I-55 is okay, but some area have little signal and will drop your calls.

Poor indoor reception with this phone and Motorola T720. Is it the brand or is the carrier? I wish I knew. Outdoor reception is generally OK

The reception in cordova is horrible. At most in my house I get a reception of 2 bars. Most of the time it is either 1 or 0 bars. I miss several calls and receive voicemails several hours late. I wish I could complain to cingular, but they claim that cordova has coverage, so my complaint is useless. I hate cingular.

In most areas of Memphis I have perfect reception and signal. However, in my apartment the signal and reception comes in and out. This happens sometimes on Cordova Rd, Appling, and Germantown Rd. In most building though I still get perfect reception. All carriers have trouble getting reception in my apartment: Sprint, Verizon (sometimes), Cingular, and Cellular South.

On Verizon, I've had more dropped calls than I count. Sometimes I get NO signal, and when I do, it often jumps to extended network. Even after their software upgrade. I've had better reception from them in Boston than when at my own home. Customer Service is a bad joke, and watch out for them billing you for "in network" calls that are suppossed to be free. Run away. Fast.
