Internet service is not good in Dandridge. Map says that it gets mobile broadband; however, the signal last around 15 minutes. When my contract runs out in couple months, I will not buy another one again. Cell internet and it's software is very new. I will wait 30 years until all 4 bars are showing inside house. That is complete coverage. Verizon white lie on their map. Coverage is good for 3 months then it is crappy for the remainder of contract. Due to all the comments that people have made, all electronic phones or modems and their software are VERY NEW! Come back 20 years or so, then try their service. That is what I am going to do.

Bad reception near home but good reception every place else but Dandridge.

Standing outside the house, at the left front corner of the carport, from approx. 8:15 to 9:30 PM, I get enough signal to make a call. Otherwise, no signal at the house and intermittant throughout the local area.

US Cellular has the strongest and most consistent CDMA coverage for Dandridge especially downtown, where Verizon has only, at best, 1 bar when US Cellular has 5. Voice quality on US Cell is also better than Verizon. Further, Verizon has recently ran into capacity issues causing calls not complete or be dropped. US Cell = best choice.

AT&T STRONGLY recomended that I switch to GSM sortly before Cingular took over AT&T. Since the takeover, I have found service in the Jefferson County area of East Tennessee and several areas of Knox County has dwindled to nonexistant or poor. Dropped calls, no rings, direct to voicemail, and one sided conversations is now the norm. Cingular reps act like they've not heard any complaints. I know I've left several with specific locations... .no fixes !
